About Me

I am a Shropshire based singing teacher, formerly located in Cardiff, with classical training and many years of teaching experience.

I gained my Performance Diploma from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and my Teaching Diploma from ABRSM. I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) and regularly update my professional development as a singing teacher. Recent courses I have attended include the Alexander Technique - Principles and Application 2025, Soul Training - Runs, Riffs and       R n B Singing 2025, Choral Pedagogy and the Older Singer 2025, AOTOS conference 2022 at Cambridge University and the Accent Method of Breathing for Singers - London 2020.

As well as teaching individuals of all ages at my Studio, I also teach members of local choirs and at Shrewsbury High School. Many of my students have gone on to achieve success in their exams, competitions and musical theatre roles. Some have gone on to have successful careers in the entertainment industry. Whilst others simply enjoy singing as a hobby and just want to get better at what they do.

Whatever the reason, I work with all of my pupils to tailor my lessons to help them achieve their ambitions to the very best of their ability.

Singing can be fun as well as challenging, and we can all do it!

Personally I have sung with the National Chorus of Wales for 15 years, joining them on several international tours. I have also made regular appearances at the London Proms and performed as part of a popular Jazz Quartet in Cardiff.
